No man's country

No man's country

I am from no man’s land

I am from a planet out of this world

I am a prophet on a mission

No culture can have me bound

I would out-grow them

I come from all over the corners of the world

I can learn to love my culture

Even though it may not fit my education

I can learn to understand its origin

Its ancientness for me to revere

I must learn to know my place

And own it!

If I must claim a heritage

Still, I am growing and venturing

No history can keep me running through old visions

I am too wild in imagining innovations

To succumb to old-time glory

I am from a planet out of this world

I am from no man's country
